There a particular OS that has issues with this drive? Win7, Win8, MacOS? Curious what issues you had.
I use Win 7 and didn't know it has a 2 TB limitation for a normal (MBR) disk formatting. You have to convert this disk to GPT (in Windows Disk management), you should not use it as your boot disk, etc.
