    The should lower their prices because their products suck donkey d icks. These are made for crashing.

    When they lowered the warranty, they should lower the price because they must know that they are producing a lower quality product. Then again when you buy up your competitors and the two remaining manufactures are in collusion with each other to make unspeakable profits, well then the price should go up.

    The high cost and low warranty now make it a better buy to pick up a closeout external hard drive and remove the case to use the drive inside. WD is already modifying their new drives for the external so that you can not use them because the connector are wrong and are not a standard drive anymore. How much more did WD have to spend to make these modifications and pass along that cost to the consumer.
