Rebate is in the form of a stupid prepaid Visa debit card, which cannot be used for cash advance. AND, the "No wait rebate" option will knock $3 off the rebate amount.
5400rpm but they are fast at 80mb/s
I raided 4 of these together and get 220MB/s speed. about the same speed as one OCZ Vertex drive but at much less cost and 15x the storage space.
Glad I got this last week from Newegg for $75 shipped without rebates.
if you guys are near a frys, they had them on sale a few weeks back for 59. I am waiting to see if they do that deal again and get another 2. They are doing hitachi 1T for 69 right now.

Of course, Ben's defense would be that if you trust in rebates you'll get what you deserve.
These are great drives - I have had 8 for a long time (over a year perhaps?) and they are all in great shape.
The seagates hold up better when you step on them though.
