What is the difference between the GREEN AND BLACK? I just purchased the black one because I read that the black was more solid, but I'm not sure why.

Google this drive model and see if the excessive head unloading problem could cause a potential problem in your application.

Yes, it would be more accurate to have called the black version "Soot" or "Smog"... but black gets the point across I guess.

Expect to have your hard drive shipped in a box with only some brown paper for packing if you buy from dell.

This is a good drive for saving power. Not as fast as the non green ones. I love the wd for being quite and non a lot of heat unlike the seagates. The only thing I don't like is the tax from Dell. Amazon was selling the same drive last week w/ no tax and free shipping.

Off subject, What the hell happened to Usenet?? Is everything posted a virus now??? I think think this whole Confliker bullshit is the RIAA/BSA's new way to flood Usenet with crap! How big should the Windows Media Center TV Pack 2008 be???
