Meh.. not a hybrid HDD.. this deal doesn't rock my diapers.
you ask a lot for $57, #1
It's not me. It's the diapers. They're not rockin'.
We know #3 - that's why you GF is rockin' with everyone on Ben's.
This is great for a backup drive.
I cancelled my order becuz it got a sux reviews
Really #6? It got a sux reviews? May I move my dogface to the banana patch?
#6, I got one of these drives in October and it has worked fantastically as a primary drive in my computer. It runs way cooler than my WD Caviar Black drive and is just as fast (both are 1TB and have 32MB cache.) For $57, if it dies, you might as well buy two so you can backup your backups.

your computer may be too old or HD set as IDE. That is why you may not see any difference.
This is a good drive to use as secondary storage or to put in a USB box or a NAS. You'll want a good 7200 rpm (or 10,000 rpm) drive as your primary boot drive.
is $58.98 ...not $57 in for one.thank you
This is half the price of 2TB drive. I'd rather get 2TB and get more data density.
The 2TB drives also have a much higher failure rate than 1TB drives. If you don't care about your data buy a 2TB and take your chances.
Looks like these drives cannot be used in raid. Please correct me if I am wrong. I have been wanting to try raid-5 using three of these (for a media center with lots recorded TV shows), but keep reading reviews where people encountered total data loss due to the lack of Time-Limited Error Recovery (TLER). Basically this drive will try longer to recover data in the event of a disk failure and the Operating system will think that the drive is not responding anymore.
Western Digital had this feature enabled in their older drives (like EADS series). This is one of those companies who spend more money to cripple their product to make it cheaper.
I ordered one for a cheap single drive NAS. But I don't know where the $2 shipping mention came from. After MWave membership (-$10.00) and $5 coupon code it was $54.99, but $8.32 more for shipping - a total of $63.31. Still a great deal, though.
To #15 the deal has changed now. Shipping was 1.99 yesterday.

Actually newer computers hide drive speed differences better because they tend to come with multiple times as much memory for caching I/O.
