Bought this drive 2 weeks ago at Best Buy for $109. So this is a pretty good price. So far so good on the drive. The small size is nice. The only thing I don't like about it is the proprietary USB cable.
#2...What is it about the proprietary USB cable that you don't like?
Also the drive inside the case has proprietary SATA interface. Try to either troubleshoot or connect the drive to standard SATA interface.
