That's the average rpm for notebook drives. To get even a 200gb 7200 rpm drive, you're looking at $50 more for 50 gb less.

Not only that, but in real world testing you only get a single digit percent increase in speed by using a 7200rpm versus a 5400rpm drive.

I just grabbed four (4) of the $109 - $30 rebate Hitachi 5K250 (250GB 5400rpm) drives from TigerDirect.COM. Never had an issue with TigerDirect.COM or their rebates yet. Then again, I live in Florida, where TigerDirect.COM is also based, and our consumer laws (especially in-state) are heavily enforced.
