The only problem I could see, is that this is not a retail drive. From the ad on the GoHD site, it lists this as bulk. I have read that WD has denied (or changed the) warranty claims, due to the product not being retail. No 1st hand experience here, so your on your own.

I bought the 320gb slower hitachi from a month ago for $50 ar, got the rebate back. Not sure if the speed is really worth almost 2x the price...

#8, you can format with FAT32 but not with the built-in Windows XP/Vista formatter. You will need to use 3rd software like this:

    http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Hard-Disk-Utils/FAT32format.shtml

Note that you still won't get all 320GB, it will probably be around 300GB because of the way they count bytes. Don't feel cheated, it's ALWAYS been like this and there have already been (in my opinion frivolous) lawsuits about this.

Higher speed also means more energy and less battery life.

Price just went up. When I first added it to my shopping cart it was still $85. A couple minutes later it went to $89.99 before I checked out. Guess it wasn't meant to be.

#17, this is a notebook drive. I have yet to see a 750 GB one for a notebook, let alone at this price.

If you read the reviews and benchmarks, this is the performance king of 2.5" right now, barring SSD which is a whole other kettle... want to order now but tempted to wait to see if the price drops in the next month
