Talk about bang for the buck!... and the reviews on this drive are excellent. I paid more than this for a 120 gig last year.

Sad I just bought a 250GB with the same specs for $85 at microcenter when the one in my laptop failed.

Oh well, I wouldn't have been able to afford to wait for shipping anyways, with all the time critical school work I had to do.

you'd be better off buying the 320GB 7200 rpm seagate momentus 7200.3 from tigerdirect for $80

Thats a big PS3 upgrade for cheap. Did they ever talk about whether 7200RPM could be used in PS3, I know one in it was 5400.

Did you really say better off and tigerdirect in the same sentence?

How about you guys actually link the deals your talking about when you mention better deals?

    I don't even see a momentus 7200.3 on tigerdirect.

I've been looking for a cheap notebook hard drive to upgrade my PS3, but I'd NEVER buy from tigerdirect no matter how cheap it was. I'll spend the extra $10 to get it from newegg.

I have the 5400 version of this drive in my PS3, and it is actually quite a bit quicker than the stock drive. I would avoid putting a 7200 RPM drive in the PS3 due to heat issues.

The WD3200BJKT version has better shock protection properties and is available from Amazon for $97.

#12, I looked into the drive you are recommending when it first hit the market. There is known vibration problem with the WD3200BJKT. Do a Google search.
