Five hundred bones still seems like a lot of money. With the meltdown of the housing market, you would think that they would be giving these things away. Who has $500 bucks to drop on a BBQ in this economy? Let me know when it is down to $299.

Weber is worth the premium price. I've had several. Customer service is awesome.

Food cook better and faster with Weber due to thick metal construction help keep the heat inside, flavor sealed. It lasts 3 times longer too.

This is not built to last 3 times longer, it uses regular steel grates and non-cast burners.

A little hint on gas grills: Lift the lid and wiggle it from side to side. Does the lid start to bend/warp easily? It's an El Cheapo, then, and you'll be buying a new one soon enough. Webers pass this test and last for years, especially if you spend just a few bucks on a cover.

#1, you are an rodeo cowboy. This will never go down to $299 you moron. These are among the best grills made. Go buy your el cheapo grill and then start bitching about how it doesn't work in 3 months.

Agreed....Weber grills are HQ grills. We've had ours for around 10 years.
