There is nothing "special." The prices have been posted there for months. BB prices are uncompetitive even before tax.

I have to agree with #1 but what does that mean? Is it going to happen to Best Buy what happened to Circuit City? The world is changing before our very eyes!

Maybe if they stop making political campaign contributions, they would not have to pass on the costs to their customers. I would not buy anything from them.
If they do have a good price on something, they will not have it at the store and you will not receive it. I have nothing good to say about Best Buy because of the way I they have lied to me in the past.

Unless Walmart expands their consumer electronics so there is a competitive local store where there are no Fry's/etc, Best Buy should survive nicely because there is a certain % of the population that either wants to impulse buy, or at least play with something before they buy then while they are in the store they go ahead and buy it there.

In fact, on some rare occasions, they have some really good and cheap stuffs. I bought a Denon receiver last year same price with Amazon except they threw in a free gift card. I bought an Exilim EX-S12 when it was on sales for $99 while Amazon had it for $119 a week ago I believe. Ben never mentioned these deals.
However, just like you guys said, they rely heavily on in-store customers. Well, even Wally is struggling with online stores these days.

No.5, do you like the Denon Receiver? What model is it (power rate per channel?) I am in the market for a high power (good dynamic headroom) receiver (7.1 or 7.2). Should I consider Denon? I like the sound of Denon and not much of a Yamaha fan. What do you think? Thanks.
