sleeps 7 if you really like the other people. Also note on this tent the rain fly does not extend over the 2 end windows, may not be the best tent to keep you dry.

I feel sorry for the guy that had to go through life with a name like "Wenzel Cottonwood". You are just begging for an ass kicking.

Personally I've been thinking about his one for family car camping. Looks to have decent reviews and its pretty inexpensive.

#8 see the rain fly comment. Never buy a tent with a rain fly that does not cover the big holes where rain comes in (windows)

or take this post and make some jokes about fly's and big holes, it will still be good.

Agree with #10. Have a kelty from Sam's for $60. Used it for several years and it has the same problem with the rainfly. Not sure why they can't come up with a better design. If you're a twice a year camper and can pick a weekend with no rain, this will serve you well. But, if you really want to stay dry, you're going to have to invest more in a quality tent.

Actually, check out the Wenzel 10'x8' "Ponderosa" tent at Campmoor.com. They're only $50 and the fly covers the really big openings.

-- My wife and I have one and are very happy with it.

As with any tent, I suggest that you seal the seams (use the goop from any outdoor equipment store or Camp-Dry [from Wal*Mart] around the tent and fly, even if they say they're "factory sealed". Use the "black cap" stuff and don't worry about the "...may discolor some fabrics..." warning (Yeah, some tents really -are- sealed, but none of us cheapskates who know about BensBargains are buyin' those tents, are we? ...And we don't CARE about streaks around the seams, right?).

And, don't forget to put a cheap tarp underneath (and fold it back so it's 6" in from each edge, because it's just there to protect the bottom from punctures).

Don't forget to get a Sterno stove (here's one for just $8.23; http://www.thegreathardwarestore.com/Sterno-SGL-Burner-Stove-p/770075.htm)
for those really cheap weekend get-aways.

Sure, you pay more for Sterno fuel than for gas, propane or wood, but you can't beat the convenience factor for the twice-a-year camper.

This will come in handy when some of you impoverished losers get kicked out of your subprime-financed homes.
