Not really a deal, this much can get that 500gb and just another few bucks for an enclosure.

The 2.5" form factor and being USB powered is what makes this worth the price (don't try to tell me that a 3.5" hard drive with a cheapo enclosure and power brick is just as portable). I was able to get a 500gb seagate a while back with a dock for about $110 so I'm not sure how good of a deal this is.

I have several drives in enclosures but the only one I can regularly take anywhere is the FreeAgent Go. If you're just looking for backup this might not be worth it.

I have a 250 GB WD Passport and have had great luck with it. It is my primary external drive. WD makes quality stuff.

Beware Newegg. They recently had a system error disallowing a valid coupon code they issued, then offered a rebate as substitution. Newegg customer Service refused to honor their coupon any other way.
