Newegg has the Western Digital My Passport 400GB USB 2.0 Hard Drive WDMERC4000TN (2.5" form factor, new design) for $90 + $2 shipping = $92 shipped. Inside the casing lies a 400GB, 5400RPM Western Digital Hard Drive. [Compare]

No clue why someone would buy this 400GB when you can get 1TB for the same price.

Obviously jlayman920 is another uneducated consumer. This is a 2.5 inch form factor powered by the USB connection. What jlayman920 refers to is the 3.5 inch form factor powered by AC current. The portability of this model makes it well worth the premium.

In other news, the 1TB 2.5 inch form factor model recently was released by Western Digital for a MSRP of $299

The 1TB that number 3 is refering is a thicker drive that will not fit in most of laptops. In the external drive format is bulkier than this or the 500GB. I believe that the 750GB and the 1TB are both thicker than this drive. Anyways I will love to have 2 of the 1TB for my NAS. Costco has the 320GB starting tomorrow for $69. I bought the 500GB at Staples for $75 + Tax 6 months ago, so no deal here.

Yes, the new Western Digital 3-platter drives, with 333GB/platter being the top-end 1TB model, are 12mm high instead of the typical, 2-platter 9.5mm height. The new 640GB drives coming out are 320GB/platter and 9.5mm height, which fits in most notebooks.

Amazon.COM is offering the 1TB for $199 pre-order (although it says 0.1" high Wink ):

I have originally purchased the 750GB version from Provantage for $141.77, but they botched the order and were out-of-stock. Provantage is 3-strikes and now out for me.
