has anyone used one of these successfully on a time warner sci atlanta box in so cal? many newegg reviews say the drive died after a year of use. too bad.
I had this drive for more than 2 years. No failures so far. I used this drive on my TivoHD at first. Later I switched to Dish Network and I converted my VIP211 receiver into a DVR by using an ESATA to USB cable and the WD500 Expander drive.
No deal since you can get a 1 tb for $90.
