What a scam. I'm not sure why they need to double the price to make a drive compatible with Tivo.
Pick up a 640GB WD HD for around $50 and transfer over the previous drive info and setup with msftools. Won't have to jack with an external drive, get more storage, spend less money, and it doesn't void the warranty (just hold on to your original drive). Plus it's honestly not that difficult.
