HMMM....
Western Digital sucks compared to other HD manufacturers... and this one is a refurb. *smirk*
I think I'd spring for 10 more bucks and go new...
$10 more for a new one is not bad.... but werent their 750gb for $99?
Who is GOHARDDRIVE, I don't know um.
6 mo. warranty. Feelin' lucky, punk?
Does anybody know who this company is or was? I can't find any info anywhere on the net or at resellerratings.com. Don't know if I'd buy from them without a little more info. Anybody?
Once again, the big claim - and no backing for it other than a smirk.
why are there so many refurbs on such a new drive?
wow, $10 for a 3-year warranty, let me think...
Western Digital rocks. Even a refurb would smite a brand new Seagate any day. Seagate = Maxtor = Sucks. Western Digital is renowned for 99.9% reliability!
#7 it's a new company owned by some guy named Ben.
#11 I will laugh at you when you drive fails from some random occurrence after your warranty period has ended (WD Enterprise drives aside). Don't worry... the gun won't go off cause the safety is on... baconeer. baconnaise happens. Way to be an rodeo cowboy fanboy.
These are unquestionably the quietest, most power-efficient drives I've ever used. I have two in my desktop right now (mirrored pair) and they're gorgeous. At this price, I think I might bump the ol' unraid up to 2+1 and pick up another pair for external backup use...
They never fail! Well there is one chance in 1000. I've owned 68 different WD drives since 1991, they are all still going strong - even the 300MB one I use for in Atari emulator. Just about all of them stay on 24/7. They are quiet, cool fast and extremely reliable (99.9%!). No joke!
For your information I just had a new 500GB GP drive go in for an RMA... thankfully it was obviously within the warranty period (it's a 4 month old drive). So I'm sorry my friend... but they do die. Why take the chance?
Bens makes about $35 from every drive sold at this online retailer through this link.
I'm sorry sir, but you must have dropped it, or spilled your Maddog 20/20 on it.
Lame refurb. It's not worth it. GoHardDrive.com is already making a reputation for itself.
