Right before the 5 year warranty ends, drop it on a carpeted floor. Then RMA it for a new drive. Since this drive probably wont exist in 2014, you'll probably get a bigger drive!
Got it, love it. But this is not really a deal on the price. Also, Dell.com sucks and I will most likely not buy from them again after the 8800GT burp up of Xmas 07.
Amazon has 'em for $99 now and then. Picked up 2 which I'll be putting in the DNS-323 that I also ordered from Amazon!
DrumDude, any reason you went w/ the D-Link DNS-323 instead of a Netgear ReadyNAS Duo? I was leaning towards the Netgear myself.

If you're going to use this in a raid, check the WD site first.
Some "black" drives are unsuitable for raid use because they go offline periodically for some recalibration reason, and the raid controller thinks they've died and starts the rebuild process...
