For 1.5 TB of hard drive space this is an excellent deal. Some people might whine and complain that it is a "green drive" but when you think about what you want to use a 1.5TB drive for, I can't imagine any other use other than data storage. I would get a smaller/faster drive (SSD or raptor) for my primary drive so that you have much better performance and then pick this up for this amazing price and have all the storage you'll need for quite some time.

Good drive for storage, a little slow for gaming.

I prefer seagate.
I have a 1T wd green drive and it has been great. It runs much cooler than my other drives.
perfect for backup drive. performance will be hindered as primary OS drive.
Great for HTPC data drive. Cool..quiet..low power..plenty fast
The speed is fine for storage, though be a little cautious about 3+ platter drives, they tend to have a higher failure rate than 1-2 platter drives.
