Amazon has the Western Digital Elements 1.5TB USB 2.0 External Hard Drive WDBAAU0015HBK-NESN for $60 with free shipping. USB 2.0 interface and backwards compatible with USB 1.1.
I have 2 of the 1.5GB and 1 of the 2GB for media storage and have been very happy with them. Very reliable, stays relatively cool. 2.0 is expectedly slow for transferring large amounts of data but you get what you pay for.
For all CA residents, try to avoid buying right now (if deals last until this Friday) so you could pocket in additional 1% decreased sales tax (1% raise expires in July 1st, 2011).
Golly gee, that's the same price a bare drive costs at microcenter. The real deal was last BF, when the 2TB Elements drive was $69 (+ tax). I skipped the early wakeup call and bought several Wed. night, strolled into the store on Friday, and got an easy ad price adjustment. Only needed the receipt. Luckily, our tarjay is a few blocks away and I needed the exercise.
At first glance, the price appears to have jumped to $80; however, if you look to the right under "More Buying Choices" you can back-order the unit for the $60 price.
I ended up getting one unit from Target and one from Amazon.
Item(s) Subtotal: $59.99 Shipping & Handling: $6.76 Super Saver Discount: -$6.76 ----- Total Before Tax: $59.99 Estimated Tax To Be Collected: $0.00 ----- Grand Total: $59.99

Same deal at Target B&M, if you have a Target nearby and don't want to wait for shipping. BUT, most will then have to pay sales tax.
