Better deal than the WD 500GB for $45.

How is this better if you need a smaller usb powered drive? Sure carry around a huge drive and power supply, or a slim drive and cable.

Depending on your needs either can be debated.

....but for $45 I ordered the 500GB 2.5" drive with the smaller form factor that doesn't require a power brick. Although if they would have had the 1TB 2.5" in-stock when I was placing the order I would have got that one for $89.
Anyway, the 2.5" drives fit exactly what I was looking for. I have a few of them, they are nice little drives.
