BuyDig.com has the Western Digital Elements 1TB External Hard Drive (WDBAAU0010HBK-NESN) for $60 with free shipping. Requires the included AC adapter to be powered up but still relatively small. [Amazon Reviews : Compare]

I got (2) 2TB versions of this drive on BF at Target for $69.99 each. Had to pay tax which brought the cost up to $75 each. Target gave out a $10 gift card for spending more than $100 which basically paid for the tax.

I showed up at Target at 4:10, after the crowd had already entered. Went straight to the Electronics section and grabbed two. There were a ton of them available.

Final cost was right around $70 per 2TB drive. 3.5 cents per Gb. Lowest $/Gb I have ever seen for the WD Elements product line.

NewEgg was selling this 1TB version for $45 about a month ago. (It was a recertified model)
