Unless I'm mistaken (and I hope I am, though it doesn't look like it), the only minus of this deal is the 1 year warranty.

My WD Elements 500M purchased last year died after 8 months. Possibly a fluke, but only drives I've ever had die were 2 WD and a Fujitsu. And I dropped the Fujitsu about a month before it died, so I suspect that's my own fault. GL to others who buy in on this.

By the reviews, people complain that it's not 1000gb, of course. 1 TB only means it is 1000gb which means 1 million megabytes and the conversion to kb is 1,016 bytes, so you get less actual space.

#3 has a point on the warranty. I've used WD for years now and like their drives, trust them, too but anytime you see a short warranty period on a drive, it does make you wonder. Maybe it's the coming trend, I don't know.

Excellent deal. Nice form factor. No need for fan if you use it for backup only.
