It was $69 in target on Friday. I got 2 of these, working very nicely. Not online.

    back to #1,

I like WD Elements portables. I got a pair of 640G for backups.

I got one $69 1TB in Target on BFriday. The capacity/price is great. But I notice that WD changed the USB port from the popular Mini-USB port to Micro USB B-Type. I would like to keep same USB cable for all my portable hard drives. If Seagate or Iomega still use Mini-USB for 1TB portable, I will switch from WD Elements.

    Just my preference...

I am thinking the 8TB (4x2TB) external WD elements drives i ordered this weekend for $232 is a good deal then. The reason staples didnt have the 69.99 drives was because the sold them at 2:30AM Sunday, not Monday morning. They have been OOS ever sense.

Most folks never had a chance.

You morons are comparing this small notebook size SE model to the large desktop size Elements model. This thing only needs the USB cable to run. rodeo cowboy

    How is this a deal?
I just picked up a 2 TB external from Microcenter for $109.

Double the capacity for 20 dollars more?

Something is wrong here. This is definitely a misprint.
