A must if you own a PS3 and like to watch HD movies in MP4 or MPG format. Decent price...

I got the 750G version for like $120 without any deals. Maybe this drive usually goes for more, but I don't see why this is appealing. Oh, and #4 is a ****.

I've seen 1TB name brand external drives in the $150 - $160 range lately. Picked one up same day from BB with a price match.

I would go with another vendor as WD drives have only a 1 year warranty.

Past experience tells me they don't last much longer than that.

Yeah, you can get 1TB for as low as $140-$150 nowadays. Hard Drives are going down.

I have the 500GB version of this. It died after 6 months. I am used to 3 year WD warrenties, so I figured this had the same. WRONG. It has a 90 DAY warrenty.

No I did no buy refurbished, I paid way too much.

All the thing did was sit under my desk and it broke. I looked online & there are a lot of similar complaints for the 6 month mark.

In the future I'd rather buy a hard drive enclosure and drive. At least then I can get the drive replaced if it breaks.

I have another Lacie drive that is still kicking though.. 500GB as well. It is the cool looking porche metal one. It runs hotter, but is more reliable. Go figure.
