I have a 750GB version. Even though it's a gigabit ethernet, it's horribly slow. Copy 200+ GB took around 12 hours. Probably due to the stripped down Linux and the system board it uses. But you can hack it (at your own risk of course) and setup as FTP and other fun stuff. http://martin.hinnerbacon/mybook/
