this seema like a very good deal...what's the catch?
this thing is bloody slow even over a gigabit connection. i was getting about 2mb/s moving a large (700mb) file from a hardwired connection. it supports gig but not jumbo packets.
better off getting a usb one and sharing it if you want to stream or be available to other computers.
Read the reviews on Amazon and you'll know what the catch is. In a nutshell, this drive is useless as a network drive because it restricts which files can be accessed based on extension. For example, it blocks access to .mp3 files. They also try to get you to subscribe to a service to access all of the functionality. As a non-network drive, it appears to be ok.
