The MTFB does not impress.
1.4mil is pretty standard. That's 11 failures per 15,400 drives, in the first 1000 hours.
I have been using a 74GB Raptor, the predecessor to this model. It is significantly faster than the typical 7200rpm drive.
Still, none of these drives can hold a candle to an SSD, which are getting cheaper by the month. Eventually I'll switch over.
This is barely faster than the black series. What #4 said, SSD all the way.
