The header to this is currently incorrect (as of this posting). It is for a Black edition, not Green.

    4 TB external drive ~$200-225
    4 TB internal drive ~250-300

I need these to drop to ~$150 so I can buy 10 of them. Preferably before I die of old age. Smile

Just a matter of time until we reach Petabyte storage for consumers... a very long time!

Oh Cool.... Now I can loose 4TB of data rather than 1TB on these "after flood" drives that WD. Been a dedicated WD fan for years, but will not buy again until they get their "pre-flood" reliability back.

There are some beautiful graphs out there showing a price curve of about a 10X drop every 5 years or so. So, in 2 years or so, the 4TB should drop by half, and be at $150.

bacon - right you are sir! Which is why we all need to learn to back up the files we wish to preserve. And why most of us need to figure out the RAID setup that would make the most sense.
