This will not do netflix. I would hold out for the refurbished plus version that western digital runs on special regularly. It is $65 now, but out of stock.

having netflix is nice but you have to pay for netflix. nowaday, my dvd player has netflix.

If you buying this to play stuff off a thumb drive, check if your DVD or blu-ray player has a usb port and what it will play.
