Weird. Nobody wants a WD green 2TB Hard Drive at $125?

Are specs a lot worse than the black version?

The NewEgg ratings for this are pretty scary. The 1TB ratings look MUCH better which is what I am planning to buy.

I can't comment on the WD20EARS drives which are the 4K sector drives which XP and Windows Home Server don't like, but I've had issues with the WD20EADS drives. One drive required two RMAs to WD to get a drive that didn't immediately contain a ton of back sectors right out of the package. I then ordered two more from Newegg and both drives have issues initializing and hard workerfor a refund. They both lock the computers they are attached to on start up. Check Newegg's review and you'll see a lot of one egg reviews on these drives in the past two months.

If you want 2TB go with the Hitachis and then use their Windows utility to lower the speed of the drive which will make it run cooler and produce less noise. If you don't care about heat or noise they are 7,200 RPM drives and much faster than the WD green drives.

I'm not buying a 2TB or higher drive until they reduce the platter count. All those platters will certainly make an oven out of the drive.

Same here #5, I'm hoping the price of 1TB drives will drop a bit more soon since 1.5 and 2TB seem to be dropping.
