I have one of these coupled with a my book 1 tb. It reads a ton of files and plays them excellent. You can play 4:3 in 16:9 when you change the settings to normal on video play. It will play 1080p content. Very useful and portable.

^ Another useless post by RKLE. I'm hoping by the end of the week that he and a Ford Excursion will "cross paths."

#5, wtf, you need to install your own drive? IDE, SATA, SCSI? what a rip off.

#5, this is a small box, you can only connect external drives with the 2 USB connections (one back and one side).

I have one of these. It's very good. I cancelled my cable TV service and just use this box to play torrent downloads on my tv.

agreed, not a deal at all, since this is the regular street price.

and i've had one for about 10 days now. i'm enjoying it. haven't had time to put custom firmware on there that will allow it to use a wireless adaptor and stream from a network device, but looking forward to trying that. there's a lot of info out there on this unit and how to extend it.

I added a usb-to-ethernet adapter and it's connected to my router.

I would still prefer an Xbox1 at 720p over this.

If you just bought this, make sure you upgrade it with the latest Firmware 1.02.07
