Great little media player. Liked it so much I got one for my parents. Hook it up to the tv, plug in a usb hard drive (it has 2 usb ports so you can have a big hard drive and a more portable thumb drive). A little slow to index a really big hard drive, but not unexpected considering it's a USB connection. Plays all my avi and mkv files flawlessly. Upscales nicely. Comes with the analog connections but no HD cable. No instructions came with it but it has a very simple interface so no big deal. NO ON BUTTON so if you tend to lose your remotes, be sure to program it into a universal remote as backup. This version doesn't stream but we are still waiting for the fiber lines in our neighborhood (now 6 months behind schedule) so streaming isn't an option for me anyway at our current speeds. I paid closer to $60 for mine almost a year ago and would seriously consider picking up another one for the 2nd tv except I'm holding out to upgrade to the "live" streaming verison as soon as they light the fiber.
