go with the $60 brite-view from amazon
I'm having a hard time deciding between this and the Brite-View. Some older Brite-View player reviews on amazon say it has problems with MKV and 1080p playback. Have they fixed this in firmware updates?
wow this thing use to be expensive, what happen
#3 because this is a refurb.
I bought one last year from the WD Store. Worked well and then died suddenly with a week to go on the warranty. WD replaced it quickly with no hassle. Works well and would buy it again.
This model has been discontinued by Western Digital. The replacement model is WDBABF0000NBK-NESN. The main difference between this one and the new model is support for DTS audio.

I just bought this brand new at Best Buy this weekend for $60.
It works pretty slick even if the interface is kind of plain.
I copied my existing DVD's using CloneDVD+Anydvd and it plays the .vob files perfectly.
The average DVD movie is about 6 gig or so, and with a 1.5tb drive you could have over 200 movies ready to play.
Hey #7, theres this new thing called Xvid. You should look into it.
