This has been one of the best tech items I have ever bought. Plays blue ray rips and all types of media available.

I have one, too, and like it. With one week left on the warranty, it died. WD replaced it immediately. No hassle at all.

This must be the one I sent back to Newegg. I thought video was OK, but hated the way it handled (or didn't handle) MP3's and playlists.

Can someone explain exactly what this is used for. Is it like a Roku box?

Yeah, my friend returned one of these 2 weeks ago. According to him it was abused and he rathered take the shipping cost lost than keep it.

Becareful, one of u prob. End up with it.

This version is pretty limited. Better to save up a bit more and get the "Live" version or the Asus O Play.

#5 this version plays back MP3s and DVD rips stored on an external hard drive through your home audio-video system.

I have one of these and they're great. It plays AVCHD (.mts) video files straight from my Panasonic ZS3, as well as almost anything else I throw at it.
