      That's a pretty good price for a 42" 1080p.

Of course you'll keep hearing that same statement for the next 4 months, I imagine, as panel prices keep slowly dropping.

Uh, don't like this. The Westinghouse LCD's aren't very nice. I have this TV in my closet, and I don't like it all that much but it's fine for my closet. I might get this and put it in the trunk of my car, or on the other side of my garage to compete with the 50" plasma in my garage.

I saw this thing in the store next to a Phillips 42" 1080p. The Westinghouse picture was noticeably less crisp and vibrant. Granted, the price difference was around $400.

#5 Did you personally check to ensure both displays were calibrated which would place them on a more even playing field before making your observation?

They always carefully set up the more expensive displays and leave the cheap ones at factory defaults. I just picked up a Syntax Olevia 232v and when I checked the settings for it and the twice as expensive Samsung next to it, the Samsung had its contrast and brightness cranked way up, and was set to the proper color temperature.

Agree with #5. Went to a best buy to check this thing out. It's blacks were deffinetly not as good as the sets near it. Also note that the 4x HDMI is basically one HDMI connected to a hub to give you 4 HDMI ports. This means you cannot individually tune the settings for each of the 4 HDMI ports as of right now. However there is a USB port which will allow for future firmware upgrades which may address this issue.
