Got this TV back in January. Great tv. read alot of comments about poor speakers, but I haven't really noticed. Sometimes the sound does screw up and needs to be un plugged/plugged back in

I hate to say this, but if I bought a tv that needed to be unplugged and plugged back in to straighten out the sound, I would think it's complete junk, and that's what I hear about the Westinghouse brand anyways. I have higher standards for things I pay for. I expect them to work the way they were intended, and do it well.

yeah, westies used to be very good... I have a v1 37" and it is still running and looks like a champ.

for $850+ you should still get a device that has NO bugs.

      Get Westy to fix it.

WAIT for the day after Thanksgiving, "Black Friday" more deals for bigger sets for less money.

Buying now is a chump's idea.

Unless... you'd like a TV now and don't want to wait 3 months to get one...

See there's this thing called a market and... wait, did I lose you already?

#4 is correct... according to engadget.com and gizmodo.com we should be seeing very substantial drops (e hundreds of dollars) in the prices of large screen televisions in the next couple months. I'm not so sure about Black Friday (hate sleeping on the sidewalk) but the holiday season should have some choice prices.

#3 if a TV running for quite while is the basis for judgment as a good TV then your TV is the BEST. I think brand name shouldn't get credit for that. You are putting Sony TV owners like me to shame which the whole world says are the best in almost every aspect.

Sony best, I'd have to laugh at that. My Sony HDTV lasted less than 6 months and it took 3 of them to even get one that almost worked right, garbage.

#2...The sound thing only happens say, once every 2 months. And compared to say the big brand names, all their 1080p 42" tvs were well over 1500 at the time. I got my westy @850, I would call what I got a huge bargain.
