Seriously? This isn't a refurb? I mean, I know it's TigerDirect, but there's no rebate....

I would not buy anything from TD. I wouldn't even get a freebie from them.

I bought my 32" LCD off them three years ago and it's been maintenance free.... it's really tempting at that price. No tuner? Who cares?

No, it's the same Westinghouse 42" 1080p lcd with HD tuner at San Jose, CA local costco.

Not the same WH, as the costco model has HD tuner. Costco one also gots a terrible picture.

I was just thinking of my coworkers who are into WOW...man, can you imagine this thing as your computer monitor???

Two things I don't like about this...1 year warranty, and the shipping fees. When you have to pay shipping, and you see this:
      Shipping Weight: 70.0000 pound(s)
it makes your credit card wince, ya know??

#10 I checked out the shipping and it was about $40. Pretty reasonable for something this size. Free shipping would be nice though.

I have the 1st generation of their 42" 1080p monitor at home. The picture is really good. I had it for 3 years with no problems. Definitely a great bank for you buck.

I received an email from them saying they got 3,000 of these from a cancelled, bankrupt hotel order. I don't know about the tv, but I've bought all kinds of smaller computer and electronics parts from them for several years, with no problems.
