What makes this a deal is that it's a 47", not a 42 as indicated in the title. Body text is correct though, so there's that...

I looked at Westinghouse sets some time ago, they are decidedly inferior to most others. Best to save more money over a few months and buy a Sony or other brand name.

Their service is terrible, 72 unanswered BBB complaints (including mine). I had to get Amex to refund my money because they basically kept it after I sent it in for repairs (only took 30 days to break). Take some extra money and buy something at Costco, great warranty coverage there.

with the way our economy is going and how our president is just putting the blame on the other president, things are only going to get worse. hold off.

Yep - these are terrible. My tuner freezes (I mean until you unplug ti from the wall...) the TV all the time - I put a wireless relay on it so I didn't have to get up and unplug it every time it happened. Also, Westinghouse acted like I was crazy to complain, as if this was normal operation for the TV. If you have to unplug your TV from the wall, it is not normal. I didn't send it in because in the forums folks said they never received their TV back (Or received a beat up TV with he same problem...) Save your money and buy a nice TV from a nice dealer...

Yeah #6! That darn Obama has had a full three weeks to turn this economy around. He is clearly slacking at his job! If Bush was reelected he would have fixed this economic mess that Obama created in two weeks.

how the hell is waiting going to make things better? if we all stop buying, manufacturers will stop making which means things don't progress. nevermind the fact that when people stop buying, they essentially stop paying themselves and our economy worsens as more people lose jobs. prices aren't going to drop, manufacturers will just make less product so there won't be surplus, they'll be artificial demand like nintendo does with the wii.
then you have to take into account the declining value of the dollar since other countries inflate the us dollar because we purchase their goods. stop buying their goods and they stop helping prop up the dollar.
but yea, sure, wait and prices will drop...
