I have never seen White Label HDD.
I guess this is OEM product. But, if it's WD, I'll pass.
The price isn't so cheap too.
I dunno, how important are you porn to you?
So are WD notorious for dying out early? I had one for a few years now and it's still going strong. I was looking into getting another HD and what better than something with 1TB of space! Is this one worth the gamble?
BTW the only problem I had with a HD was IBM....
white label? i'd rather have black label
Here we are with 1TB drives and the only backup we have are 4.5GB DVD's. They still haven't even got DL DVDs to be reliable. The only reasonable alternative is to use redundant drives with a good warranty and swap them out when they fail. This "white label" crap-shoot is NOT the way to go.
And I'll tell ye's, as the owner of five WD10EACS drives, this does not look like them.
I have only owned WD and Seagate hard drives. My experience with WD were all good (mainly because they were only raptors) Because of my good experience with the previous 74gb raptor, I reinvested into two velociraptors 300gbx2 in raid 0. For my storage drives I bought them from my company, (they try to get rid of all the discontinued models)So i actually picked up 4x750gb (refurb) for $140 which is not bad at all.
Why take the risk on a no name brand. Get the real thing.
