GoHardDrive.com has the White Label 640GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive for $50 + $0 shipping = $50 shipped. It was created by Western Digital for rebranding by an OEM Hard Drive Reseller. This WL6400GBS-equivalent comes with a 1 year warranty.

Yea, I love getting some cheap piece of crap to hold my important data. Can I save another buck buy getting a rusty unit, perhaps? Meebe save $5 more by getting a refurb with a 15 day warranty? Got any at half price in the "been dropped on the concrete floor" bin?

agree with the cynics, hdds are not to be taken lightly. the hdd in my 8month old dell laptop croaked. important data saved on reliable back-up drive. fun data lost forever?

Its funny how people would even consider this but slam Seagate all day long. I'll take a updated firmware model from Seagate over this "who knows what condition" refurb/rebranded drive.

Bware when Ben goes hard with his white label, zip it up before he zooms his fly. As crazy eddie once said, this posting is profane.

What a bunch of dopes. This is a new WD HDD with a generic label and a shorter warranty period. If the label and warranty are important to you, pay $65 at Newegg.

Sure Dummy. Buy a tiny pos from Ben rather than $67 for a 1 TB hitachi from Newegg. Wanna trade your stocks and bonds for some beans?

$50 bucks for a 640 re-branded hard drive? This is not such a bad deal. So what about the 1 year warranty. Warranties reflect the price you pay for anything. A 3 year warrantied anything is going to cost you more because you are buying the added warranty time. I'll bet you this drive lasts as long as the Western Digital drives without the added warranty expense. This is Bensbargains and this is for those bargain hunting.

Damn. If a Crapgate hdd pukes on you, you have to pay $20 to ship is back in exchange for a questionable refurb. If the White Label dies, you pay $50 ($30 bucks more) for a brand new replacement. That makes this a hell of a deal. I'll buy a couple of these, no sweat.
    Thanks Ben..
