GoHardDrive.com has the White Label 640GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive for $45 - $11 shipping = $56 shipped. It uses a new 2x320GB platter design. They hint that it is similar to the Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD6400AAKS (which probably means it IS that drive).

Little skeptical about the white label... anyone able to confirm that these are rebagged WD drives?

    Silly Ben. $45 - $11 shipping = $34 Dollars not $56

Apparently, Ben hasn't learned the difference between a minus sign and an addition sign. Either that or he's too busy counting all his referral money...

$14 for ground shipping... is their distro center in the middle of a farm surrounded by cows or what?

Still a good price with shipping especially if it is a WD drive.

Ppl are correct... shipping kills the deal.... mine came out to $59 shipped... u can get same from newegg with 3 yr warranty and directly from WD for 69.99 shipped free.... much better deal considering u get 2 additional yrs of warranty + newegg reputation

Not so great a deal, this'll be the regular sale or rebated price before long without wondering why it's a white label with only 1 year warranty.

White label happens when WD makes a deal with a company like Dell or HP and they make them a certain number of drives at a reduced price, but without all the packaging and labeling frills to bring down the cost.
