Low volume of units on the market makes units more difficult to obtain. Difficulty to obtain triggers a consumer's mind to think that it must be amazing since it has such a high demand. This triggers consumers that wouldn't normally be interested in purchasing this to purchase it to see what all of the demand is about. This explains all of the units on Ebay. They aren't making hardly anything on wii's on ebay anymore, but people still want to sell them because they are generally disappointed with them. Trust me, I have had many friends get wii's, and none still own them because they quickly became bored with the gimmick...
