If you're a student (or not) with a working .edu email address and don't have a bias against using Microsoft products, then Windows 7 can be yours for $30. They're offering upgrade versions of both Home Premium and Professional for that price. In order to see Professional, you'll have to: Enter in your .edu email address, click the link in the confirmation email, and finally click on where it says "Need to join your school's network domain?".

    So yes #20, you can get profesional.</td> </tr></table><span class="postbody">

Okay, I am a smart aas too, but I hope only appropriately. Like the person who needed dual-boot with Windows Vista he had a perfectly logical explanation -- an upcoming exam that would only work on OSs before Windows 7. Similarly, in the instant case, I have an alumni address that ends in.edu. I "Stole" Microsoft office for $60. I answered all questions truthfully and got a screen that said "Congratulations!" And an e-mail with the product key. (I paid six dollars for "insurance" -- the ability to re-download the office suite from Digital River for like one year. I believe the year is up and I am going to need to re-download it when I finally do my clean install of Windows 7. Right now I am dual booting with Windows Vista. Do you see what I did there?)

In any event, to get to my point, where it says, as you say, "need to join your school's network domain?" what do i answer? If I answer yes and it tries to take me to a page to join my school network domain no luck there. All I have is a naked forwarding address with EDU as its TLD. Will that work? It seems that, having done this once, that you might be able to answer this question. I would happily put all of my reading comprehension skills into your short to be helpful response. You existing snarky comment doesn't provide me with enough information. Hopefully, a brilliant person like you will have checked the box that says something to the effect "e-... [Truncated]

Any statistics majors want to take a stab at calculating the odds of being audited?
