If I install the Windows Beta do I need to reformat and reinstall if I purchase a copy once it starts selling to the public next yea or can I just enter my key code and all is good with the first install?

When you run the Win8 Consumer Preview Setup app to check a PC and exit, it doesn't even get rid of 15MB of leftover temp folder files with no "install", no links, no nothing to indicate they left garbage behind on your HDD.
How long does it last, 1 year license?

No Mediacenter. Looks like I'll be leaving the Windows environment as my current equipment ages.
Is there anything better? Last time I checked, nothing worked on that thing.
#7 it probably will keep working as long as you're happy with it. It will get no upgrades, no patches and no support after the product launch. Just like any other B release.
mcnabney: could have sworn that there was media center there. In fact one of the tiles was media center.
Windows 8 appears to me... to be meant for tablets, clearly. Once you click past that start up square interface its just like Windows 7 behind it.

Not a fan of Windows 7 this will likely be worse! XP sill the best IMHO...
remembering windows vista still gives me the creeps.
