I have this (1.5 cups in 3 cups out) and the B&D 3 cup (yields 6 cups) and the WP and the B&D both work well. My first effort with WP (following the directions) was a tad soggy where the B&D always makes perfect rice. The lid of the B&D can be a bear to clean while this one was easy as long as you clean it right away. I think I'll get to like the WP better once I get the water to rice ratio right and it can be used for single/double servings of brownies. It should be ideal for singles, dorms, work, or travel. The B&D 3 cup would be better for a couple or a couple with a small child but isn't travel friendly the way the WP is.
