I wonder what it'd cost to have someone repair the repairable welt construction... then again, maybe less than another pair of new boots, these look much nicer than typical $40 boots, with high density rubber tread instead of that fast wearing foam crud... though the foam type is lighter weight... 32oz for the 6" height, featured boots.
Why did they choose to feature the boots in a picture with pee dribbled on the front them? Was it to show that the SympaTex waterproof inner membrane in imperious to urine or maybe that these boots were designed for a regular guy who might drip that last few tinkles on their boots in a hot sweaty outhouse at some job site...
