HobbyTron has the World's Smallest Apache 3ch Mini RC Helicopter for $24 - 40% off with coupon code 1286222945 + $11 shipping = $25 shipped. Features counter rotating blades, high capacity Li-Poly rechargeable battery, and includes 3 channel remote control that is also the battery charger.
i would rather pay $24 + free shipping than 40% off + $11 shipping. I just don't like companies which marks down the price then charges you $$$ for shipping.
Agreed. You see this on eBay all the time. Ppl will practically give away an item, then stick a $30 shipping fee on you. We're talking items you can stuff in a USPS flat rate box for like $10.
Yeah that extra $1 on top of a $10 box is a thorn in my side.
The thing is, shipping isn't ever really free. Put a different item in your cart, one that isn't on sale of about the same size and shipping is still the same $11... and if you had to pay return shipping through UPS/Fedex ground to them (except a very near zone), it'd also cost you about $11.
I do agree ebay/etc shipping markups are ridiculous and maybe their true shipping cost is less than $11 from bulk rate discounts with the shipper, but $11 is not outside the range of reasonable when you consider they'd just artificially inflate the price of the items to pretend it is free shipping when it really isn't, ever except for some items coming from the orient which have government subsidized postage.
