Their customer service record is mixed but this is my experience: last week they shipped me a new $160 battery for my lawn mower at no cost to me 4 months out of warranty. I couldn't be more pleased and I love the stuff that I have from them. Mowed the lawn on Sunday and it worked great. So I guess YMMV. As far as this set goes I have it and it works pretty well. Two batteries is good and has always been adequate when I need the tools. However I will say that the li-on stuff works better and longer.

If you buy this, do you get a coupon for the fries and a coke that are normally included in a combo deal?

The CPO link indicates that only one battery comes with this package. I called and confirmed - one battery only.

Then that's definitely the catch here. You'd only be able to use one of the tools per day.

We need a universal battery standard so every cordless tool you own plugs in the same way, it'd just be a matter of how much runtime, how long and heavy the battery pack is.

As much as the word "green" can get annoying, that would be green as well as convenient and money saving over the long term.
