You need at least 2. These are mono-speakers so do not expect to get stereo sound out of them.

These produce good sound for their size. But, you need at least 2 and these are mono-speakers so you are not going to get stereo sound.

I think you may need two of these. Also, they are mono so stereo is not an option. NEXT!

I'm not sure, but you might need two of these. Also, they're mono speakers, so you will not get stereo.

I think you will get stereo if you have two of these. I am sure I have mono.

This is a good speaker. But if you get two of these the sound would be much better due the fact that they are mono speakers, so don't expect stereo sound from them.

    What's wrong with mono?

Back in the day, my 1974 Mustang had a jammin AM radio which output mono to the solo center dash speaker.

    Am I wrong?

These things ROCK. I bought two and mono or no mono, mano a mano, stereo, duo - who cares -- they are loud, the highs are crisp and the bass that comes out of these when expanded is mind-boggling. If you put two daisy-chained off an iPod in your car, it sounds great. Plus, I use it in place of my phone speaker for hands free and its unbelievably clear. The kids on the street are all using them with their iPods when they go to the beach or hit the lake. They last forever between charges.

This is a great portable speaker for your ipod. Very impressive sound for its size.
